Le Deuxième Acte

Florence is madly in love with David, but the feeling isn’t exactly mutual. He’d rather set her up with his friend Willy. His plan is to make this happen during a lunch date at a remote roadside diner. But then Florence unexpectedly brings her father along. As they head to the restaurant, the actors playing them keep slipping out of character, and during the meeting, the off-screen crew grows increasingly loud and chaotic. Will the film they’re trying to shoot ever be finished? Master of the absurd Quentin Dupieux delivers another playfully mischievous and provocative comedy about deception and role-playing, which opened the Cannes Film Festival in 2024.
