The town of Sollerod is plagued by a motley group of newcomers. They pop up in all sorts of places, posing as people with intellectual disabilities.
The viewer need not count on any kind of framing. The Idiots, as its English title reads, is about a group of intellectuals posing as 'idiots'. By allowing their 'inner idiot' to speak, they want to create a better world. How far are they willing to go with that? Pre-eminently a film that shocks or fascinates- there is no middle ground.
