Suro (English Subtitles)

Architect Helena and her husband Ivan decide to leave Barcelona to start a new life in the countryside. There, pregnant Helena has inherited a house that she plans to restore. With the help of a team of local residents, the idealistic couple wants to exploit the associated cork oak forest. From the start, Helena focuses on the house, while Ivan immerses himself in the cork ('suro') with full dedication. He jumps into his new role with enthusiasm and tries to interact with the workers as an equal. When Helena appears to have a different view on how things should be managed, their relationship comes under increasing pressure.
