Just before Christmas, Matthias quits his job in Germany to return to his village in Transylvania. He wants to spend more time raising his son Rudi and longs to see his ex-lover Csilla again. Once home, the peace in the community appears to have been severely disturbed by the arrival of foreign workers. Underlying fears, frustrations, and conflicts soon break through the thin veneer of apparent calm in the village…
