After their husbands are deployed to Afghanistan, the wives—led by the starchy and rather snobbish Kate (Kristin Scott Thomas)—at a military base in England decide to start a choir to build morale. Enlisting the aid of the more down-to-earth Lisa (Sharon Horgan), Kate quickly builds a troupe—but problems immediately arise as to the repertoire: should it be classical or pop…?
