StarkLinnemann has taken up the challenge of transforming Beethoven’s music into a convincing sound idiom for the 21st century. They manage to keep the soul of the music, but add innovative rhythms and modern harmonies. And in the spirit of Beethoven, adventurous improvisations cannot be missed.
The StarkLinnemann formation is uniquely capable of connecting musical historical periods and geographically determined differences in musical styles. They previously did this successfully with complete works by Liszt, Chopin and Mussorgsky.
Their successful crossover projects in which classical masterpieces have been translated into a convincing 21st century idiom have been very positively received by the domestic and foreign press. With overwhelming concerts at many festivals and in Tivoli/Vredenburg in Utrecht, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and Alexandrinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, StarkLinnemann has left an indelible impression on the national and international music scene.
