Movie Classic with experience

Back to the Future - 10 years Cinecitta
TRAILER

Cinecitta is celebrating and of course it has to be big!

Cinecitta is celebrating and it promises to be grand! Cinecitta reopened in 2014 after a huge renovation and reconstruction that lasted nearly two years. We want to celebrate this lustrum in August with many events focused on film, food, and experiences. One of the many specials is the Movie Classic with Experience: Back to the Future. The film is English spoken but will have Dutch subtitles!

Movie Classic with Experience – Back to the Future – Thursday, August 8th at 9:00 PM

Every month, Cinecitta organizes film specials entirely themed around a classic film. You purchase a ticket, we provide a matching snack and drink, and create a complete experience based on the film.

Because Cinecitta is celebrating its ten-year reopening anniversary in August, and because we are looking back on all the wonderful films and events that have taken place, while also looking forward to everything yet to come, we believe there is only one classic film that perfectly suits this month, and that is, of course, Back to the Future.

About Back to the Future Part I

Steven Spielberg produced this classic time-travel adventure by Robert Zemeckis, in which seventeen-year-old Marty McFly (Fox) travels back to the past using the peculiar time machine of Professor Emmett Brown (Lloyd). There, he meets his clumsy father and charming mother. Marty must ensure they fall in love, or else he will cease to exist…

Director Zemeckis and Bob Gale’s brilliant and witty script for this now-classic time-travel film was reluctantly approved by Universal Studios after much hesitation. Universal’s request to change the title to ‘Spaceman From Pluto’ was gracefully rejected by Steven Spielberg. The film won the Oscar for Best Special Effects.

The film will be introduced, with the aid of video clips, by film scholar Rudi de Boer.

Thursday, August 8
20:15 – 21:00 – Reception including snack and drink from the film
21:00 – 21:15 – Introduction by film scholar Rudi de Boer
21:15 – 23:11 – Screening of Back to the Future Part 1
