Andrés Godoy grew up in a poor neighborhood of the Chilean capital Santiago. At the age of 14 he had an accident and lost his right arm. Godoy had one love at that time: his guitar. For a long time he thought he had lost that dream completely, but the military oppression during the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet in Chile encouraged him to pick up his guitar again.
