Germain (François Berléand) is fully enjoying his retirement when, at the age of 75, he suddenly becomes a widower. His family immediately rushes to the rescue and force themselves upon him through scheduled telephone appointments and visits, food deliveries, etc. In fact, Germain's life is arranged for him down to the last detail. But he has other priorities, because he and his wife made a promise to each other before she died. As a result, Germain ends up in a contemporary dance group with an eccentric choreographer (real life choreographer Maria Ribot). While dancing he learns to mourn—but he doesn't dare tell his family about it…

‘A tender comedy about dance, the family, and the gestures of mourning... “Last Dance” makes us laugh, moves us, and leads us to an unexpected introspection once out of the cinema.’—Malik Berkati, j.mag
