Description
It's war 1942. Antwerp is occupied by violence and mistrust. Wilfried Wils considers himself a poet in the making, but at the same time he has to manage as an auxiliary agent. The beautiful Yvette falls in love with him, her brother Lode is a daredevil who sticks his neck out for Jews.
Wilfried's artistic mentor, Nijdig Baardje, wants to destroy all Jews. Awkwardly navigating between two worlds, Wilfried tries to survive, while the hunt for the Jews continues unabated. Years later, he tells his story to one of his descendants.
