A Little Life

Live recorded from The Savoy Theatre in London. The book ‘A Little Life’ by Hanya Yanagihara has deeply touched millions of readers worldwide. Ivo van Hove has turned it into an equally powerful theater production. After an extremely successful run at ITA (Internationaal Theater Amsterdam), where Ivo van Hove created and staged the play, the production is now breaking records on London’s West End.

A Little Life follows four college friends in New York: Willem, who aspires to become an actor, the talented and successful architect Malcolm, the eccentric artist JB, and the reclusive, enigmatic Jude. As ambition, addiction, and pride pull the group apart, they remain connected by their love for Jude and his mysterious past. It becomes clear that Jude is haunted by a traumatic history, and the friends realize that only through profound understanding and boundless love can they preserve their friendship with him.
