About Stichting Tilburg Pride and the introduction prior to Close

Tilburg Pride Foundation is committed to fostering an inclusive society where everyone can be themselves without fear of discrimination or violence. The LGBTQIA+ community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and/or asexual) often faces both verbal and physical discrimination. Tilburg Pride actively works towards greater visibility, understanding, and acceptance of this community by raising awareness.

Prior to the film, Mr. Gay Europe 2023, Tim Küsters, will give an introductory talk. He will discuss why the film’s theme is so important. Tim Küsters, 28 years old and from Den Bosch, was elected Mister Gay Europe 2023.

Tim Küsters had the best plans to improve the mental health of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgenders, and other members of the rainbow community. According to Tim, this is urgently needed: “Research shows, for example, that gays and transgenders think about suicide more often than the rest of the population.
