Cinecitta is celebrating and of course it has to be big!
Cinecitta is celebrating and it promises to be grand! Cinecitta reopened in 2014 after a huge renovation and reconstruction that lasted nearly two years. We want to celebrate this lustrum in August with many events focused on film, food, and experiences. One of the many specials is the dance experience of Stop Making Sense.
Due to the festive month, tickets will be available for half price.
Stop Making Sense – Dance Night – Friday, August 16th, 9:15 PM
Stop Making Sense brings Talking Heads back to the big screen. Experience the greatest concert film of all time once again in a theater without seats, for a true concert experience! This allows for plenty of dancing and singing along.
Director Jonathan Demme transformed the concert into a stunning visual experience. The calm opening scene breaks all the rules of concert films. Byrne walks onto a bare stage with a boombox in hand, turns it on, and sings ‘Psycho Killer’. Instruments are set up, electric cables connected, and then the musicians relentlessly increase the tempo, playing their most memorable songs. Come enjoy Burning Down the House, Psycho Killer, Once in a Lifetime, Slippery People, and This Must be the Place.
To fully immerse yourself in the entire concert, drinks can be ordered in the theater. This way, you won’t miss a second of this ecstatic musical experience.
