Trainspotting | Thursday, May 2nd | Doors open at 8:15 PM | Film starts at 9:00 PM
The cult classic Trainspotting is a wild mix of rebellious and toxic humor. Four friends navigate their way through an energetic world of drugs, sex, and rock ‘n’ roll, ultimately planning the ultimate scam. Directed by Danny Boyle with a masterful hand, utilizing fast-paced editing, visual effects, and strong performances to convey the raw energy of the story.
Trainspotting tells the story of Mark Renton, who struggles to break free from his heroin addiction and his wrong friends. Aside from Renton, the group of friends includes Spud, Sick Boy, and Begbie, respectively crazy, healthy, and dangerous. They hang out in the pub, take shots, or have a quickie. Their life motto: “It’s all shite anyway”.
The film features one of the most legendary soundtracks of all time, with tracks from Iggy Pop, Brian Eno, and Damon Albarn.
