Every month Cinecitta organizes film specials completely decorated in the style of the classic. You order a ticket, we provide a matching snack and drink and create a total experience from the film. November 23 – film screening of Walk the Line + snack & drink and live performance of the Johnny Cash tribute.

Walk the Line is about the lives of country legend Johnny Cash (Joaquin Phoenix) and his wife June Carter (Reese Witherspoon).

Johnny Cash’s music changed the world, he became a true icon. But Cash wasn’t born a country legend. First he picked cotton, he went door to door as a salesman and he was in the air force. When he enters Sun Studios in Memphis, his life changes forever. His unique voice makes him a star, but at the height of his fame, he threatens to collapse due to his destructive lifestyle.

The story is based on the books Man in Black and Cash, the Autobiography, of course written by Cash himself. He was unable to see the film itself, but approved the script and was also enthusiastic about casting Phoenix. Walk the Line was nominated for no fewer than five Oscars and Reese Witherspoon won the award for Best Actress.
