After the successful Dine-In Cinema, Cinecitta and Ristobar29 are organizing a Wine-In Cinema on Tuesday 2 and 30 May, where you will be treated to delicious wines during the captivating documentary Blind Ambition.
Using a video message, Jan Aartsen from Wijnkoperij van Bilsen, our wine supplier, will introduce you to the tasting and film about the different wines you can expect. (This video message will be in Dutch)
During the film, 2 white and 2 red wines are presented. Of course you will receive a matching snack with every glass of wine. Fish, meat and vegetarian snacks will be served. The homemade sourdough bread, as well as a carafe of water, will be ready at the start to neutralize the flavors.

Blind Ambition
From refugees to top sommeliers. The documentary Blind Ambition tells the incredible story of four men who turned the international wine world upside down by becoming the first team from Zimbabwe to compete in the World Blind Wine Tasting Championships, the Olympic Games of the wine world.
After leaving their homeland for a better life elsewhere, they end up in South Africa after many wanderings. There they get jobs in restaurants and learn the intricacies of the wine trade. When they meet next, they are encouraged to enter France’s prestigious wine tasting competition.
The film follows their ambitious path to the competition where they must blind taste twelve different wines and guess the country, winery and vintage. An unlikely mission that will turn the international wine world upside down.
