Description

Natura Urbana narrates the history of Berlin after the fall of 'the wall' through its plants. Along railways, street corners, and the city's distinctive wastelands, we discover an extraordinary diversity of vegetation from all over the world. The film takes us on a unique journey through the city, from the botanical microcosm of torn cobblestones to extensive attempts to map the entire city based on its distinctive ecological zones. Does the habitat beneath your feet determine the city of the future? Maike van Stiphout will give a lecture before the film, she will be introduced by Jannemarie de Jonge.
